Privacy Policy
The short version: PerfectDraw does not collect, transmit, sell, or share your data — except the purchase receipt handled by RevenueCat, which is needed to verify the Lifetime entitlement. Everything else stays on your iPhone or iPad.
One-sentence summary: We don't run a game server and cannot see the strokes, scores, history, or cosmetics preferences stored by the app. The only data the app shares is the purchase receipt, sent to RevenueCat for entitlement verification.
1. Who we are
PerfectDraw is a single-person indie iOS app made by PerfectDraw ("we", "us", "the developer"). You can reach the developer at oveshdev@gmail.com.
2. What this app does
PerfectDraw is a drawing-accuracy game. You trace a ghost shape on the canvas; the app scores the stroke for accuracy, smoothness, and timing; the result is shown as a letter grade and a shareable score card. The app keeps a private history of recent runs, a personal-best summary, an inventory of unlocked cosmetics (stroke skins, pointer styles, canvas themes), and the user's appearance preference (light / dark / system). The four game modes are Classic, Blind, Speed, and Hardcore. Classic is always free; Blind, Speed, and Hardcore plus the full Cosmetics closet unlock with a single one-time Lifetime purchase managed by Apple StoreKit and validated by RevenueCat.
3. Data we do NOT collect
Unlike most apps, PerfectDraw does not collect any of the following — because we have no server, no analytics, and no first-party SDKs:
- Name, email, phone number, or any contact information
- Account credentials (there is no account)
- The strokes you draw, the points sampled, or the raw touch data
- Your scores, grades, or personal bests
- Your history, filter choices, or recent runs
- Your mode, shape, or theme preferences
- Photos, photo metadata, or any image from your library beyond the score card you choose to save
- Location, contacts, calendar, microphone, camera, HealthKit
- Device identifiers (IDFA, IDFV, MAC, advertising ID)
- Crash reports or performance telemetry
- Analytics events, screen views, taps, or session data
- Browsing history or search history
4. Data that IS collected (and why)
To verify the Lifetime entitlement, PerfectDraw shares the App Store receipt with RevenueCat, a third-party purchase-validation service. RevenueCat stores:
- The App Store receipt for the Lifetime pack
- The transaction date and the Apple ID's anonymized app user ID (a RevenueCat-generated random ID, not your real Apple ID)
- The current entitlement state (Lifetime pack active / not active)
RevenueCat uses this only to confirm your Premium entitlement on every install and every Restore Purchases action. It is not used to track you across other apps or services, and RevenueCat does not sell or share the data with advertising networks. See RevenueCat's privacy practices at revenuecat.com/privacy and their App Store-style privacy label at revenuecat.com/gdpr.
5. Where your data lives
All data you create in PerfectDraw is stored locally on your iPhone or iPad using Apple's SwiftData framework. PerfectDraw does not intentionally transmit this app data to the developer or to any third-party service. The exception is the App Store receipt described in §4, which is sent to RevenueCat for entitlement validation.
5.1. iCloud Backup
If you have iCloud Backup turned on for your device, iOS may include PerfectDraw's local app container in your device backup according to your Apple settings. This is an operating-system backup, not a cloud-sync feature built into PerfectDraw. The developer cannot access that backup.
To exclude PerfectDraw data from iCloud Backup, go to Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → Backups → [your device] → Show All Apps → PerfectDraw → toggle off.
6. Photos permission
PerfectDraw can render a score card and write it to your Photo Library when you tap Save to Photos on the Result screen. The app uses Apple's standard Photo Library Add-Only capability (no read access to existing photos). The first time you save, iOS shows a permission prompt; you can revoke that permission at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos → PerfectDraw. The developer never receives the saved image, the permission grant, or any photo metadata.
7. In-app purchases and StoreKit
PerfectDraw sells a single one-time Lifetime purchase through Apple's StoreKit framework. Apple processes the payment and stores the receipt on its own servers. PerfectDraw does not see your name, email, or payment method details. The Lifetime pack is family-shareable through Apple's standard Family Sharing. You can request a refund through Apple's standard reportaproblem.apple.com flow, and you can view Apple's privacy practices at apple.com/legal/privacy.
PerfectDraw has no subscriptions, no auto-renew, and no recurring charges. Once purchased, the Lifetime pack stays unlocked on the Apple ID that bought it.
8. Third parties
PerfectDraw contains one third-party SDK:
- RevenueCat — purchase and entitlement validation. Used to confirm the Lifetime pack is owned by the current install and to support the Restore Purchases action. See revenuecat.com/privacy for their privacy practices.
There are no analytics SDKs, no ad networks, no crash reporters, no A/B testing tools, and no tracking pixels. The only other external systems the app interacts with are:
- Apple iOS and App Store — for installation, updates, the in-app purchase, and normal device backup behavior.
- Apple StoreKit 2 — used on-device to drive the purchase dialog and to send the receipt to RevenueCat for validation.
9. Children
PerfectDraw is appropriate for all ages and contains no user-generated content, chat, or external links. The app does not direct any features at children, and we do not knowingly collect any information from children. The only data shared with a third party (the App Store receipt via RevenueCat) is collected only when a user makes a purchase, and that flow is gated by the App Store's own age and consent requirements.
10. Your rights
You have full control over your data at all times:
| Right | How to exercise it |
|---|---|
| Access your data | Open PerfectDraw — every score, history item, and preference is visible in the app |
| Export your data | Version 1.0 does not include an in-app export feature |
| Correct your data | Use Settings → Reset history to clear stored runs; cosmetic choices can be re-selected |
| Delete your data | Delete PerfectDraw from the device to remove its local app container |
| Stop iCloud backup | Disable backup for PerfectDraw in iOS Settings (§5.1) |
| Revoke Photos access | iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos → PerfectDraw |
| Delete RevenueCat purchase record | Email oveshdev@gmail.com with the RevenueCat anonymous app user ID shown in the app's settings |
11. Data retention
Your data is retained in PerfectDraw's local app container until you delete the app or use the in-app Reset history action. A separate iOS device backup may retain a copy according to the Apple backup settings you control. The developer has no server copy to retain or delete.
RevenueCat retains the purchase record and the anonymized app user ID until you request deletion (see §10) or the Lifetime pack is refunded through Apple, whichever comes first.
12. International users
The developer does not receive personal data from the app and does not sell or share app data. The only data shared with a third party is the App Store receipt sent to RevenueCat (§4). Privacy laws (including the EU GDPR and the California CCPA / CPRA) may provide additional rights based on your location, including the right to access, correct, or delete personal data. The actions in §10 above are the practical expression of those rights. You can always contact the developer at the email below with any privacy question, including a request to delete the RevenueCat purchase record on your behalf.
13. Security
The SwiftData store is kept in PerfectDraw's sandboxed app container and receives the standard data protection provided by iOS. PerfectDraw does not intentionally transmit that store over the network. StoreKit transactions are sent to RevenueCat over TLS; no developer-controlled server handles receipts.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy as the app evolves. The "Effective" date at the top of this page will always reflect the current version. If we ever introduce a feature that involves transmitting additional data off-device, we will:
- Update this policy and the in-app privacy notice before the feature ships,
- Request your explicit consent before any data is sent, and
- Provide an in-app way to opt out.
The effective date on this page will be updated when this policy changes.
15. Contact

PerfectDraw stores strokes, scores, history, cosmetics preferences, and appearance settings locally on the device. The only data the app transmits off-device is the App Store receipt, which goes to RevenueCat for Lifetime-entitlement validation. RevenueCat stores the receipt and an anonymized app user ID; this is not linked to your real-world identity and is not used to track you across other apps or services.
